Probably it never existed a 1081 official service manual from Commodore, it's look more like a NAPCEC service manual & diagrams compilation of the 1084 series and his variants, like the nap6523, 8cm505, 1084S, 1084P and obviously the 1081. It's more complete than other scans and the quality of the scans also are far superior. It has two circuit diagrams variants of the 1081, mono and stereo versions. It doesn't include a diagram for the Philips CM8500 or CM8501, they look like the 1081 but they are slightly different.

10 CHP Indicates that the character display is showing a DVD chapter number. 11 REMAIN Lights when the character display is showing the time or number of tracks/titles/chapters remaining. 12 Character display 13 Lights when a disc is paused. 14 Lights when a disc is playing. 15 D Lights when a Dolby Digital soundtrack is playing. 16 DTS Lights when a DTS soundtrack is playing.
3 PRGSVE Lights when the video output is progressive scan. 4 Lights during multi-angle scenes on a DVD disc. 5 GUI (Graphical User Interface) Lights when a menu is displayed on-screen. 6 GRP Indicates that the character display is showing a DVD-Audio group number.
