Thanks & best regards Franz
;
again you did a very good job. It was fast too. Photocopy are really readable and clear
;
Probably it never existed a 1081 official service manual from Commodore, it's look more like a NAPCEC service manual & diagrams compilation of the 1084 series and his variants, like the nap6523, 8cm505, 1084S, 1084P and obviously the 1081. It's more complete than other scans and the quality of the scans also are far superior. It has two circuit diagrams variants of the 1081, mono and stereo versions. It doesn't include a diagram for the Philips CM8500 or CM8501, they look like the 1081 but they are slightly different.

Rapid, clear well done as all the scheme I downloaded from this site. Great job very functional and very useful
;
Great copy of the manual, has all information required for servicing,

3. MECHANISM DESCRIPTIONS
- Inserting the Magazine
1. Inserting the magazine while countering the spring force of the EJECT lever , the lock arm will slide along the groove on the reverse side of the magazine and lock into place(due to the torsion spring on the reverse side of the lock arm).
2. The magazine lock is detected when the sensor arm moves along the EJECT lever cam section and presses against the MAG switch(S301) located on the CD core unit. Initially , the sensor arm is held by the cam section of the EJECT lever until the magazine lock arm is pushed off by the groove on the reverse side of the magazine. When the lock arm is pushed off the cam section is released , but is held again by the lock arm. When the magazine lock is released, the sensor arm presses the MAG switch(S301).

- Elevation Operation
The drive operation is the same as the CX-652. (See service manual CX-652:CRT1857)
- Elevation Detection
When the rear lever is driven the front lever and sensor lever are also driven via the jointed arm. The voltage is detected, and drive initiated, when the knob of the linear position sensor(slide volume:VR801) enters the U-shaped groove of the sensor lever. Stop Lock arm Moves along the groove in the magazine. Fig. 30
